MID-ATLANTIC CHAPTER WORK PLAN FOR 2009
The chapter officers for 2009 are:
Rob Henry, President (GVF Transportation)
Tammy Ford, Vice President (DART’s RideShare Delaware) Amy Mathieson,
Secretary (ACTA) Julie Theyerl, Treasurer (DART)
The chapter’s next elections will be held in 2010 for the 2011-2012 terms.
In order to prepare for chapter activities in 2009, the officers conducted
several teleconferences.
We have agreed to hold one conference in 2009. The conference will be held
in our chapter service area and it will be a one day session.
The Chapter has also verbally agreed to partner with the Patriot Chapter
to host a two day conference in their chapter area in 2010.
We will once again be updating our by-laws and will send them out to the rest of the chapter for a vote. once the voting is completed we will send our updated by-laws to ACT National for approval.
The chapter will meet periodically throughout the year and
they are as follows:

The chapter has set three main goals for 2009:
Host a successful conference while generating enough revenue to fund the
event.
Continue to move forward with the installation of the
national 511 phone number in our chapter area and the integration
of TDM in each system.
Continue to increase our presence as a chapter in the
public policy forum.
The chapter will also be participating in the Legislative Summit Scheduled
in April in Washington D.C.
The chapter will also be offering scholarships to the ACT National conference.
The chapter will be offering scholarships to the ACT Legislative conference.
The chapter will continue to maintain and update our website
The chapter will update its blog continue connect news with RSS feeds.
Judy Eckerd of Cornell University will continue to serve as its memebership
coordinator.
The chapter will continue its newsletter. Amy Mathieson of
ACTA is the newsletter coordinator.
The chapter Is also Well Represented throughout ACT national:
John Ciaffone is currently serving as Treasurer of ACT National
Tammy Ford is serving as an At Large Director
Rob Henry is serving as Region 9 Director
Tammy Ford is also co-chairing the (Ad-Hoc) National Communications Committee
Joseph Caravella will be serving as Co-Chairman of the recently formed Climate
Lisa Kay Schweyer will be serving as Chair of the Professional Development
Committee
