MID-ATLANTIC CHAPTER WORK PLAN FOR 2008
The chapter officers for 2008 are: Rob Henry, President (GVF
Transportation), Tammy Ford, Vice President (DART’s RideShare
Delaware), Amy Mathieson, Secretary (ACTA), and Julie Theyerl,
Treasurer (DART).
The chapter will hold elections for 2009-2010 in August 2008
and will announce the winners at the ACT National conference.
In order to prepare for chapter activities in 2008, the officers
conducted several teleconferences. We have agreed to hold one
conference in 2008. The conference will be held in New York
City, November 24-25 and will be two full day sessions. We once
again will be updating our by-laws and will send them out to
the rest of the chapter for a vote. Once the voting is completed
we will send our updated by-laws to ACT National for approval.
The chapter will meet periodically throughout the year and
they are as follows:
• ACT Conference in Atlanta, GA
• Chapter Conference New York, NY
• Chapter Conference Calls
The chapter has set three main goals for 2008:
• Host a successful two day conference while generating
enough revenue to fund the event.
• Continue to move forward with the installation of the
national 511 phone number in our chapter area and the integration
of TDM in each system.
• Continue to increase our presence as a chapter in the
public policy forum.
The chapter has discussed its willingness to work with GRI
and ACT National to facilitate a policy trip to Washington D.C.
The chapter will also be offering scholarships to the ACT National
conference.
The chapter will be offering scholarships to the ACT Legislative
conference.
